This will be me!
Yes, I am flying to on January 2nd, 2007. Why, you ask? Why not, I ask back!! I was given the opportunity and I'm taking it!! No one can stop me!
If you really want to know the real story- here it is: while I was living with my favorite comp in , the idea of going to school to BYU was introduced. Or rather, exploited on every turn. She literally put a spell on me. Every chance she got she would tell me how wonderful it was and how we were going to be roommates and such. I informed my family via email that I was definitely going. When I got home from the mish the thought was shoved to the back burner. I quickly settled into a cozy little apartment downtown SLC and got way to comfortable with work, the volleyball scene and my ward. I explored my options for school and changed my major mind or my mind on majors (English is so messed up) about 5 times. So the latest is TESOL, aka teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Appropriate, I'd say. Those of you who know me know that I can be pretty anal when you say 'fermiliar' or lie-berry'. Well just have to see if I can stick with this idea or I end up changing to bio-mechanics (ew- come not near me!). After going from physical therapy to dental Hygiene to social work it's inevitable that the next pick of the month will be . . . hmm . . . forensics. But I digress.
So I applied. For school. To BYUH. I thought, what the heck, I have nothing to lose except a 35 dollar application fee. And waddaya know, they accepted me. To go or not to go? That was the 1 second question. I purchased my plane ticket within hours of receiving my acceptance letter so that I wouldn't and couldn't change my mind. Shortly thereafter, I registered for classes and applied for financial aid. Luckily, the government officially considered me independent as of November 3rd of this year. My good news for this month is that I received a Pell Grant for tuition and books. NO LOANS!! (yet)
Mahalo (for now)
